Description
When you convert your Beetle to the Porsche 944 brake, the original handbrake cable connection no longer fits. This set solves exactly that problem: it is a conversion kit that connects the handbrake cable to the 944 brake so the handbrake works properly again after the conversion. The adapter sleeves in this set are silver anodised.
With our version, part of the handbrake cable spring (about half) is cut off and removed.
Important: The set only fits steel semi-trailing arms. The version with untreated sleeves is also available in our shop.
The adapter kit is an in-house development by Knepper from our conversion work in Rahden: there are no off-the-shelf parts for the 944 brake in the Beetle, so we manufacture the missing connecting pieces ourselves.
