Description
The Cup strut brace for the frame fork provides significantly higher stiffness in the rear of the vehicle and reduces the so-called engine hop, which can occur particularly with high-performance vehicles or under high load. At the same time, bending of the frame forks is prevented. The additional bracing reduces movements of the drive unit and channels the forces better into the chassis, improving power transfer.
The struts are made of classic carbon and impress with their high-quality look and particularly low weight. At just under 900 g for all three struts, the set is around 400 g lighter than the aluminum version. This makes it not only a real eye-catcher in the engine compartment but also contributes to reducing the vehicle's weight.
Suitable for VW Beetle and VW Karmann Ghia.
Note: On vehicles with stock heater boxes, space problems may occur depending on the version. In these cases, adjustment work or a modified exhaust system is required.
Installation note: The brackets are assembled in the vehicle, aligned and then welded. In addition, the brackets must be welded to the gearbox crossmember. The threads of the struts must be carefully greased before installation to prevent seizing of the aluminum threads and to ensure trouble-free adjustment.
